Tube Stuff Suppliers Appendix B. Tube amps have always been the amplifier of choice for the working musician. Musical myth has ascribed almost magical tone to them. While the results may not be entirely magic, tubes do have a sound that is different from solid state amplifiers, and one that happens to make amplified music sound better to the human ears and brain.
There are lots of technical and psuedo-technical explanations for why this should be true, but there is enough solid evidence that it is a real effect to trust it. The real reason to use tube amps is simply that they sound better.

It contains two voltage comparators with an internal reference, an R-S FlipFlop and a “totem-pole” type output circuit capable of sourcing or sinking up to ma. All of these subcircuits are used to advantage in this battery disconnect circuit. Basically a works as follows: When the battery voltage goes below this setpoint, the output voltage on pin 3 will go high. Another pot is connected across the battery with its wiper to pin 6. When the battery exceeds this setpoint, the output pin will go low.
All that is left to enable the disconnect circuit is a relay driver that will turn on the relay when the output is low and release it when the output is high. U1 NE needs a regulated supply voltage to supply the internal voltage divider references that control the input voltage comparators connected to pins 2 and 6. R9 resistance is chosen so that the zener voltage will be maintained down to about 10v input supply or below.
C3 filters the regulated voltage. Should the supply voltage be reversed, the zener diode will clamp the voltage at The fixed resistors are chosen so that the pots cover the expected adjustment range volts for R2 and volts for R5 and make the adjustment easier.
Understanding Battery Configurations

You and the who argument industry are very wrong about 12 volt systems. I use 12vdc, have none of these issues you describe and my battery bank is 24 — L16 batteries. Not once did I regret it. Others i know who live off grid would have one battery failure in a 24 or 48 volt system and all is lost. I can get a 12vdc one at walmart or a truck stop if I absolutely had to.

Let’s take a look at how pots work so we can use them better. The big advantage of parallel LiPo charging is it saves time since you can charge your entire heard of LiPo batts on one charge cycle and is considered by most to be safer than serial charging one pack at a time. Parallel charging will only work on same cell count batteries, but they can have different capacities within reason.

We can therefore characterize it according to two quantities: To a fairly good first order, the light output of the LED, either in photons per second or in milliwatts, is linearly proportional to the current through it. This means that it is useful to think of the LED as a current-operated device. Of course, we could think about it as either; but there is a nice relation between the light output, which is what we ultimately care about, and the current; this is not true for the voltage.
To characterize a particular LED, we can apply a voltage for example, using a DC power supply , and note the current through the LED using an ammeter, or perhaps the ammeter built in to our power supply. This is a relatively typical red LED. We can see that the relation between the LED’s current and voltage is not very nice—it is not a straight line through the origin, or any other curve with a simple equation.
Over the range of currents at which we expect to operate the LED tens of mA , this curve is very steep.
